What is Pass Plus and why should I do the Course?

Pass Plus is a practical training course that takes at least 6 hours and is for drivers to improve their skills and drive more safely.  It can be taken at any time although it should be most useful to new drivers in the year after passing their test.

Some insurance companies offer a discount to new drivers who have completed the Pass Plus course. 

As statistics show, new drivers are more likely to have an accident in the first two years after passing their driving test, this is due to lack of driving experience.  Pass Plus will make you a more confident driver by building on your skills and knowledge, this will help you to carry out good and early observation and thus anticipate, plan for and deal with all kinds of hazards.

What topics does Pass Plus cover?

Pass Plus training takes at least 6 hours. It has 6 modules, covering driving:

• in town
• in all weathers
• on rural roads
• at night
• on dual carriageways
• on motorways

Will I have to take a test?

No.  After completing the course and reaching the required standard you will receive a certificate to say that you have completed the course.
